Family Pictures

At the end of October we took family pictures, my awesome friend Rachael took these at a park by her house. Thanks a  bunch!

Anybody who has tried to take pictures with kids knows how hard it is to get everybody looking and smiling at once.

Camping in 40 degrees

Before the really cold weather hit we decided to go camping for one last time. We headed up little cottonwood canyon with The Hansen's.

Here's how Bailey stayed warm, bundled by the fire.

When your in the woods you don't need to bring fire wood. Dave and Danny took turns cutting this tree for fire wood.

Between the two families we have 10 kids! Here they are in age order.

Playing in their secret hide out.

This was one of the main reasons we wanted to go camping.
We sold our 4-wheeler and bought this AWESOME tent trailer.

Here's where the older boys slept.

The babies and Dave and I slept here. Now that we have this, not sure I want to tent camp anymore.

Hunter is such a camper, he loves it.

I walked in on Hunty "reading" to Bailey one morning

Love her chubby cheeks!!!

End of Summer and Other Updates

Summer has finally come to an end, which is good and bad. The good, is that Logan will be in 1st grade. He was definitely getting bored, and was ready to see all his school friends again. Makay will also be in pre-school 3 days a week from 1-3:30pm. I was first a little worried about the late time, but it will be nice because that is when the babies are sleeping, so it will be nice and quiet at my house.

The only bad thing about school starting is no more lazy mornings, and sitting around the house for a couple of hours. We have to get up pack lunch, get dressed and get out the door. After a couple of weeks I'm sure we'll all be used to it.

Anyway, here are some pictures of what life was like at our house those last few weeks.

Here's Hunty wearing Logan's helmet and riding Makay's bike. This little guy is very determined and does not let anything stand in his way.

What Bailey does best, sit there and look cute, while her brothers act crazy!

Everyone watching the garbage truck, so exciting.

Playing transformers on the tramp with a neighbor.

Hunty climbed into Bailey's swing all by himself.

So lately I was feeling like I was doing way too many chores around the house and decided that it was time for the boys to have another chore.
they have a pretty good system down and do a good job. Even Hunty, he does the silverware.

Logan got a science kit for his birthday. They are making glow-in-the-dark picutres.

Hunty trying to get Bailey to look in the mirror.

Hunter thought it would be funny to wear my bottoms around the house.

Bailey all ready to go camping at the spruces (sorry no pictures)

First day of school picture!
They were both so excited that day and woke up early. As soon as Makay woke up he got dressed got his backpack and got in the car. We still had 20 minutes before we had to leave, and the saddest part was that he didn't start preschool til the next week. He kept asking why he couldn't go to school that day.

 Sometimes eating make you tired.

Lastly, the cUTESt kids ever!!!!

Cowabunga Birthday!

This year I didn't quite have the energy to have 10-12 seven year old's to my house for a party, so instead we told Logan he could invite two friends to Cowabunga bay. This was such a hard choice for him, but he narrowed it down to his cousin Parker (they are two peas in a pod), and Maylea who just moved back from Australia. This was the first time we had been there, and it did not disappoint.

Funny pose, they were so excited.

Logan and Parker waiting to get drench by the gigantic bucket of water

 AWWWW...

 Tada!

 Makay, Maylea, Logan, Parker

We went on a Tuesday afternoon and got the 4 hour pass, it was perfect. People started leaving about an hour after we got there, and 4 hours was plenty of time.
None of the slides empty into a pool so anyone 42" and taller can go down any of the slides alone.

If you are shorter then that you can ride with an adult on the open top ones

I will say this yours kids should be really comfortable in the water to go on the big slides, here's Logan at the end of one.

Makay would have played at this all day, you move the pieces around and have water run through it.

There is also a little kid area with a few slides and splash pool, as well as a lazy river (pictures on Dave's phone). Our kids love the water so I know we will be back next summer. It is really school aged and toddler friendly park, I didn't see any teenagers. Logan had so much fun he asks to go back everyday.

Two going on Ten

Tomorrow Hunter will turn 2! I can't believe it's been two years since he's been born. Our little Hunter had a rough start, he's was so little, had some breathing issues, and many ear infections.

Thankfully, by his one year check up he had kicked all those problems. By one he made up for loss time by eating everything in site, and climbing on everything as well.

Now at two he follows his two older brothers around and thinks he can do everything they can do, hence the first broken bone from any of the kids, with this comes many gasping moments from me. He is super busy and super full of life, we love him so much and are so thankful that he fought so hard in his first few months.
