Camping 2011

We ended the summer with our one and only camping trip for the year. On Labor Day we went to Fairview with our friends the Deverall's for some camping and four-wheeling. I wasn't super excited to go at first, just because camping with a one year is a lot of work, and I was afraid it was going to be cold. It actually turned out to be fun and I packed some many blankets and warm clothes that we were all toasty warm all night.

Just waking up, don't laugh at the hat it kept me super warm all night.

Playing in the dirt, their favorite past time

All in all it was a fun camping trip, everyone slept well and it's always good to get away from the city. I was also definitely ready to pack p and leave on day three, one can only take so much camping with small children. I'm glad we went and that we had such a fun time!

Transformer Party

Logan is 6! It's a little crazy that it's been 6 years since I became a mom, it's also gone by really fast. I guess it's true what they say, "it goes by way too fast."

Anyway, Logan is OBSESSED with transformers, so having a transformer b-day party was the only choice. My brother-in-law helped me make these awesome invitations, and Logan was super excited to hand them out to all his friends.

We played three games total, but only seemed to get pictures of this one. They had to "transform" into Bumblebee and Optimus Prime and do an obstacle course. It was really funny to watch the kids run in these over sized clothes.

After the games it was time for presents

In between each game the kids would retreat back on the tramp, that was a lifesaver! Between the kids that were invited and the siblings that came with some of them there was a total of 17 kids, mostly rowdy 5-6 year old boys.

It was so hot that day getting wet on the tramp seemed like a great choice.

Time for cake, the highlight of the day I'm sure.

Logan with his buds getting ready to start on the cake. In the background you can see our Megatron display on the cardboard. Every kid got two water balloons and tried to destroy Megatron, the extra balloons were used for throwing at people, naturally.

Logan had a great time and got tons of transformers which is what he was hoping for. Thanks to everyone to came and helped out with the party. We love you Logan!!
