Utah Utes
In honor of the still undefeated season the Utes are holding on to and the failed quest that the Cougars are now looking at I thought I would change our background color to more suitably fit the team we love! Although we know many BYU "fans" that attended and graduated from the U they still can't see the light of the right school to cheer for, it is so sad. My question to all you BYU "fans" is why in the world would you go to the school that you so passionately hate? If you were true fans you would have attended the school that you pay homage to. I mean honestly do you think that a University of North Carolina fan would ever go to Duke, or vice-versa. I think it's utterly ridiculous that you even attempt to cheer for a school that none of you went to!

1 - Some of us go to the U because it is convenient for those of us who live and work in SL.
2 - Some of us didn't have the grades to make it in to BYU and the U was "gracious" enough to accept our less than stellar GPA's.
3 - Some of us believe that the U actually has a quality of education that is very high and thus wanted to take advantage of the "diversity" of education the University can provide.
For my part, options 1 and 2 were both vital in my decision. Honestly, I also liked the idea of not being forced to attend a religion class when I already had such a limited time in which to spend in class as well as not having religion tied back into every class I attended. While I did not appreciate being force fed sexual preference tolerance throughout my tenure as a University of Utah student, I still value my education and the fact that I can call myself a college graduate, just as much as either of you.
That being said, I was raised a BYU fan and as my brother-in-law is very prone to say, in sports, there is no gray line. You HAVE to hate your rival. I may be a University grad, but it doesn't change the fact that I want nothing but poisonous darts for the Ute sports teams. And if that makes me traitorous, then we might need to visit the dictionary again.
